MOZART CAT

Each COMPOSER CAT in the COMPOSER CATS^™ series comes to life as a musically enhanced, ten-inch plush toy.  MOZART CAT is soft and snuggly with his compelling own look.  When you squeeze his belly, he plays a clip from A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.  For young children he is the wondrous first introduction to the composer and his music.  A musical companion that will be a friend for life. 

For older children, the Hi-Tech version of the musical toy comes with USB connectivity enabling custom program of many music clips in the MP3 player embedded within.  An interactive child-friendly site will offer an ever growing list of downloadable music so children can compose their own score of what their COMPOSER CATS^™ MOZART CAT plays.   The interactive site launching later this year will be packed with games and entertainment, making MOZART CAT’s musical world come to life for kids. 

In the ‘LIVING BOOK’ DVD of MOZART CAT, the book comes to  life, with text that illuminates as the narration plays, introducing children to visual word recognition and enabling travel with MOZART CAT’S story in a light easy way.

STORY SYNOPSIS:
Join MOZART CAT on a musical mystery adventure in which MOZART CAT braves the dangers of a stormy night in the forest, searching for notes he needs to compose a new piece of music. (His nocturnal quest is true to the fact that MOZART composed at night!)  In our story, MOZART CAT hears music in the night sounds all around, in the thunder, wind, pounding rain, toad trills, and wild wolf howls; deep, dark complex music so sad he paws a tear from his eye.  He knows one day he will write a complex, deeply moving piece, but on THIS night, MOZART is hunting for a different kind of music.  He searches for the notes he needs to write music that is lilting, uplifting, and danceably bright.  He searches for A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC – a special new tone with a lyrical line that tickles the bone. 

One by one, all around him, forest creatures come to his aid.  He noses through tight tangled brush and hears a perfect D up in a tree, voiced by red-legged thrush.  Although the bird is terrified of CATS, she delivers the note to our Composer, quivering with fright. 

A fish with scales in seven colors leaps up, tail-tipping MOZART a whole movement she found at the bottom of her brook.  A snake, rabbit, raven, rabbit, spider, and owl all come to MOZART CAT with notes to his music.

MOZART has his music at last, but he cannot play it for he is in the forest and has no violin!  Woodpecker swiftly carves one from a tree, strings it with the whiskers from a rat, and builds our COMPOSER a violin bow.  MOZART plays his new composition and all the forest creatures dance in joy to MOZART’s A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.  Swans, frogs, ferrets, storks, ducks, and swans all whirl, twirl, and waltz.  Even the trees dance, right until dawn.

MOZART ends his performance with this COMPOSER CATS™ message for kids:

A little night music is just right for a dance.
Try writing your own when you have the chance.
For as our beloved MOZART CAT knows
Even if you’re a kitten you too can compose.
